As usual for this time of year, there will be engineering works taking place over the Easter holidays which will impact passengers travelling in and around London. The major ones are listed below but for the most up-to-date and accurate information please see the National Rail and Transport for London dedicated webpages.

 

National Rail

London Euston to Milton Keynes: From Friday 3 to Wednesday 8 April, except for limited services on part of the Bakerloo and Lioness lines (see section below), no trains will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes. Services will start and end at Milton Keynes with buses to Bedford for onwards trains to London St Pancras International

London Waterloo to Clapham Junction: From Friday 3 to Monday 6 April there will be a reduced service between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction, and no trains will run to/from Queenstown Road (Battersea).

 

Transport for London

District and Hammersmith & City lines: From Friday 3 to Monday 6 April, the Hammersmith & City line will be fully closed. The District line will also be partially closed between Upminster and Whitechapel, and between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia) to allow for track and signalling upgrades. Passengers are advised to use the Elizabeth line, other Tube lines or local bus services as well as rail replacement buses.

Bakerloo line and Lioness line: Essential maintenance will result in partial closures on the northern section of the Bakerloo line. From Friday 3 to Monday 6 April, no trains will run between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone, with the closure extending to Queen’s Park on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, the Lioness line will only run between Euston and Willesden Junction on Friday 3 and Monday 6 April, with no service at all on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 April.

DLR: A major part-closure on the DLR will run from Friday 3 until Wednesday 8 April, affecting all routes between West India Quay, Poplar, Bank, and Tower Gateway.

Northern line: On the Northern line, essential track replacement means there will be an early closure on Monday 6 April with no service between Camden Town and Kennington (via Bank) after 22:00.

Waterloo & City line: The Waterloo & City line will be closed from Friday 3 to Monday 6 April.

Elizabeth line: On Sunday 5 April a reduced service will operate on the Elizabeth line between Paddington and Maidenhead/Heathrow.

Mildmay line: On Sunday 5 April there will be no service between Willesden Junction and Richmond.
