Using AI to help with your appeal

We know that many people are using AI to assist with their appeals. Please use our guidelines below if you wish to do this.

• Ask your chosen AI provider to rewrite and organise your complaint as a short, clear and polite appeal. Avoid creating an unnecessarily long appeal as your primary concerns could become easily lost.
• Ask it to include a closing paragraph suggesting how you would like the appeal to be resolved.
• Make sure the AI copy is accurate and hasn’t added any new or incorrect information.
• Remove any personal information while you are drafting the appeal. You can then add your personal details directly to the appeal form without having to share it with the AI tool.
• Do not rely on the accuracy of AI particularly relating to financial compensation.
