Emma Gibson responds to Prime Minister’s address

Commenting on the Prime Minister’s speech this morning, London TravelWatch Director, Emma Gibson said: ‘While the Prime Minister’s speech was short on detail it is encouraging to hear his commitment to a green recovery delivered at speed.  He described London as the ”capital of the world”, and with 70% of all train journeys starting, finishing or passing through London, it is crucial that London’s public transport is funded properly so that it benefits everyone outside as well as inside London. We also hope that vital projects like Crossrail 2 and Tube upgrades will receive the support they need to provide much-needed relief for the transport network in London and the wider South East.’
