London TravelWatch appoints Emma Gibson as its new Director

London’s passenger watchdog has appointed Emma Gibson as its new Director after a competitive interview process.

Emma joins having previously worked for Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. She brings extensive experience in strategy and campaigning, good management skills and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Reflecting on her appointment, Emma said: ‘I'm really excited about boosting the voice of transport users in our campaigns to improve public transport in and around London. I'm looking forward to building a close relationship with the London Assembly's Transport Committee and working together to make London's transport system the best in the world.’

London TravelWatch Chair, Arthur Leathley commented: ‘Emma has a great track record of campaigning at both Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth. I look forward to working with her as she seeks to join up all the great work London TravelWatch does to ensure our work has maximum impact with our stakeholders.’
