With forecasts predicting a prolonged period of cold weather this winter, London TravelWatch is advising passengers to check their routes before they travel in the event of snow and icy conditions in and around London.

You can keep updated on the latest news on by going to the Transport for London website or the National Rail website. You should also check the website for the specific train operator on the required route.
You can find out the situation on the roads by either looking at Highways England, TfL, or London Councils
It is also worth looking at or listening to local media news and travel and weather bulletins.

The London Travel Information Line for information on buses, trams, DLR and the Tube is on 0843 222 1234 and National Rail Enquiries can be reached by calling 08457 48 49 50.
