Top tips for travelling in hot weather

With the very hot weather we are currently experiencing in London and temperatures forecast to get even warmer by the end of the week, we have put together some top tips on how to cope when travelling in and around London.

Top tips

  • Where possible avoid travelling during the rush hour when services may be particularly crowded
  • Carry a bottle of water with you. Many stations and shops now have free water fountains and the Refill app has details on where you can find water on the go
  • Don't board a train if you feel unwell
  • If you feel unwell get off at the next stop and seek help from staff
  • Avoid pulling the passenger alarm between stations
  • Be ready to offer assistance if you see a fellow passenger who looks like they feel unwell
