Severe Weather Transport Update: Information on getting around in the snow

London TravelWatch is advising passengers to check their routes before they travel during the snow currently being experienced in and around London, and forecast to continue throughout the week. 

Below is a list of useful website and phone numbers for getting around London on trains, tubes, buses and trams, as well as information for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. 

You can keep updated on the latest news on by going to the Transport for London website or the National Rail website.  You should also check the website for the specific train operator on the required route.

You can find out the situation on the roads by either looking at Highways Agency, TfL, or London Councils 

It is also worth looking at or listening to local media news and travel and weather bulletins. 

There is now a dedicated National Rail Enquiries line to provide passengers with up-to-date information about disruption caused by snow on 08453 017641

The London Travel Information Line for information on buses, trams, DLR, tubes and is on 0843 222 1234 and National Rail Enquiries can be reached by calling 08457 48 49 50.

Passengers can also use National Rail Enquiries' automated train tracker service on 0871 200 49 50, which will give up-to-date information about their service or subscribe to Twitter updates at @nationalrailenq or the NRE Disruption Facebook page. You can also sign up to TfL Travel Alerts.
