London TravelWatch is seeking expressions of interest for three pieces of work; focus group research amongst annual season ticket holding rail and bus passengers and two transport safety projects.

  1. London TravelWatch is seeking expressions of interests from consumer research specialists to conduct focus group research amongst annual season ticket holding rail and bus passengers. Recruitment of participants and the ability to provide a viewing facility are essential components of this research. For more details please email

  2. London travelWatch is seeking expressions of interest for two transport safety projects.

a) Bus occupant safety. The first project is an investigation of occupant casualties using bus services in London with a view to making recommendations that might reduce the frequency and severity of injury. This would, in part, update the work of Professor Peter White, but focus on London bus services and use additional information and data available beyond Stats 19.

b) The novel interventions of London's new cycle infrastructure. An investigation of the various novel interventions of the recent cycling infrastructure that has been introduced by TfL and the London boroughs. This is with a view to initially highlighting any road safety issues and in time analysing the Stats 19 casualty records associated with the interventions.

Project specification

Neither project is specified fully because we want to work with interested partners to develop the scope.

We are intending to apply for part grant funding from the Road Safety Trust. We will work with partners to develop a submission and budget.

Expressions of interest

If you are interested in working with us please write to briefly stating:

i) the project you are interested in

ii) the experience that you or your organisation has working on similar projects and two examples of similar projects

iii) an outline of how your organisation would approach the project

iv) the names of two organisations and contacts that we could approach for references.

Closing dates

The closing date for each of these peices of work is 5pm on 31 March 2017. We will notify the successful organisations by the end of April 2017.
