London TravelWatch is looking for a Policy Officer.  The successful candidate will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of current rail, London Underground and interchange issues together with a good understanding of generic transport policies, operations and consumer issues to help us secure improvements to transport quality within the Capital.  They will be aware of what passengers want whilst also understanding the key issues facing operators.  Essential to this role is the ability to conduct impact analyses of service provision and proposals such as timetable changes, train planning, rail franchising, fares and ticketing.

We are looking for an experienced and highly effective communicator who will provide professional support to members and staff to inform our policy making.  Confident and committed to service excellence, they will have a major input to national and local consultations and make key representations to external stakeholders.
