Travelling around London during Christmas and New Year on 23/12/2011

London TravelWatch has advice for anyone travelling around London during Christmas and New Year.

London TravelWatch has advice for anyone travelling around London during Christmas and New Year.

As always, the advice is check before you travel during the festive season as your journey may subject to engineering works. Check the Transport for London or the National Rail website to see if you are affected by this.

Train companies and TfL (Overground, tubes, buses, trams, DLR) will be running Saturday, modified or reduced services during the festive season, so please check TfL's Festive Leaflet or National Rail's Summary to see if and when your normal service is running.

There will be no trains, tubes, buses, trams or DLR on Christmas Day.

On Monday 26 December, proposed strike action may cause significant disruption to tube services. Again, check before you travel.

The Congestion Charge is suspended between Christmas Day and Monday 2 January.

London TravelWatch would like to wish all passengers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Please note, our offices will close on 23 December until Tuesday 3 January 2012.
