Government gives go ahead for Croxley Rail Link

On 14 December, the Secretary of State for Transport, Justine Greening announced that the extension of the London Underground Metropolitan line from Croxley, to Watford Junction via Watford High Street will be part of a £854m nationwide programme of transport improvements.

Watford (Metropolitan) underground station will be closed permanently after the works are carried out. London TravelWatch are awaiting confirmation of this from the operator in line with the London closures procedure, which outlines the legal procedures which must be followed before such a closure can take place, to protect the interests of the public.
