London TravelWatch has commented on the Department for Transport's decision not to provide funding for a new station at Surrey Canal Road (as part of the East London Line extension).

Sharon Grant, Chair, London TravelWatch said: "This is a very disappointing decision. This is a transport-poor area which desperately needs better transport links. It will be a real blow to local people."
