Rail Performance Report published on 09/06/2010
London TravelWatch has published its latest Performance Report for rail services in London and the south east, covering October, November and December 2009.
The report, published quarterly, looks at national rail performance in London and the south east and assesses the performance for passengers, which particularly focussing on punctuality and cancellations.
Overall, the performance of train services in London and the south east declined year-on-year, with more delays and more trains cancelled.
c2c achieved the lowest percent of cancellations, and achieved the most punctual service.
First Capital Connect had the worst public performance measure (which measures the performance of individual trains against the planned timetable) of all operators in London and the south east, mainly owing to industrial relation problems, availability of rolling stock and adverse weather. Southeastern experienced the least punctual service, with 12.8% of trains late, partly owing to the snow in late December.
