South London Line Forum on 26/11/2009
We recently facilitated a successful 'stakeholder’ forum, along with Transport for London (TfL) and Network Rail about the future of the South London Line after our research showed how passengers in the area would be affected if a proposed service between Victoria and Bellingham did not go ahead.
Among those attending the forum were rail user groups from the affected areas, local councillors and local MPs and London Assembly members were represented.
The forum was a chance for TfL, Network Rail and London TravelWatch to brief people on the shortlisted options, and was chaired independently by Adrian Lyons.
After a presentation, and a useful question and answer session, it was agreed that the five shortlisted options were the right ones to be progressed, and that we would report back to interested parties in February 2010.
