Oyster Route Validators on 07/09/2009

London TravelWatch is reminding passengers that Oyster route validators have been introduced at several underground and overground interchange stations.

London TravelWatch is reminding passengers that Oyster route validators have been introduced at several London Underground and London Overground interchange stations.

These validators will mean that you can choose a route avoiding zone 1 on a few journeys, or if you have not travelled through zone 1 on these routes, Oyster will no longer assume you have, and charge you accordingly. The new pink readers can be found at: Blackhorse Road, Gospel Oak, Gunnersbury, Highbury & Islington, Kensington Olympia, Rayners Lane, Stratford, WEst Brompton and Willesden Junction.

However, passengers need to be aware that these validators will not be available on other national rail services, and when Oyster PAYG is rolled out on all national rail services in January 2010, we will be pushing for validators wherever necessary.
