The proposals to reduce ticket office opening hours at First Capital Connect stations, access to the third runway at Heathrow Airport and a review of transport services of the Christmas period will all be under discussion at London TravelWatch's next board meeting on Tuesday 10 February.

The meeting, which is open to all members of the press and public, will be held in our offices at 6 Middle St, London, EC1A 7JA at 10.30am.

London TravelWatch will be discussing First Capital Connect’s proposals for ticket office opening hours, in the light of the hundreds of representations we have had from passengers. We will also be looking at the wider policy of ticket office opening hours in the light of the Government’s recent decision to not allow many of South West Trains’ proposed closures.

London TravelWatch will also be reviewing how the transport and road network worked over the Christmas period, and hearing from Mike Noakes, General Manager, BAA on the integration of tube, rail and road networks to the third runway at Heathrow.

The ticket office proposals will be discussed at 11.10am, and we will hear from BAA at 12 midday.

For any press enquiries Jo deBank in the London TravelWatch on 020 7726 9953.
