London TravelWatch has responded to the London Assembly's investigation into cycle parking.

In the response, we argued that cycle parking needed to be planned properly: random parking of cycles to railings or signposts is not only unsightly, but also can block streets and pavements.

We also argued that when major events occur in London, cycle parking is often not factored into the planning. We would like to see cycling as an integral part of major event planning.
