Passengers experience on Eurostar
London TravelWatch has commented on the issues arising out of Eurostar’s failure last weekend, owing to bad weather.
Sharon Grant, Chair, London TravelWatch, said: “Now that Eurostar services are resuming, it is time to reflect on what went wrong, what contingency plans were in place and how problems were communicated to passengers on trains, at stations and to those planning their travel.
“We will be meeting Eurostar as soon as possible to discuss passengers’ experiences and what can be learnt from this major incident.”
London TravelWatch is also encouraging everyone who is entitled to claim compensation, and for affected passengers to share their experiences.
Sharon Grant continued: “We would like to hear exactly what passengers involved experienced, so I urge them to contact us here at London TravelWatch. We are also reminding anyone affected to make sure they claim the refunds and compensation to which they are entitled.”
Passengers can tell us about their experiences and Eurostar’s handling of the situation at info@londontravelwatch.org.uk
