Hampstead Heath station in zone 2
London TravelWatch has welcomed Transport for London's (TfL) announcement that Hampstead Heath station will be moved into zone 2 from January next year.
Hampstead Heath station, currently in zone 3, is on the North London Line, which will be taken over by TfL in November.
Brian Cooke, Chairman, London TravelWatch, said: We have been arguing that Hampstead Heath should be in zone 2 for many years, and we are delighted that it is finally happening. All the surrounding stations " both rail and underground - are zone 2, so it was a real historical anomaly that needed correcting. It will be a real benefit for passengers using the station.
