Contactless Payment
You can use your contactless payment card to travel on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and most National Rail services in London.
Docklands Light Railway Docklands Light Railway runs light rail services between the City and Canary Wharf, Beckton and Stratford in East London and the City and Greenwich and Lewisham in South East London.
Emirates Airline
TfL's Emirates Air Line crosses the River Thames between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks, just five minutes from the O2 by North Greenwich Tube station. Cabins arrive every 30 seconds and flights are approximately 10 minutes each way.
Freedom Pass The Freedom Pass scheme is paid for by local authorities in London, and gives older, blind and disabled people free travel on buses, trains, trams and underground services in London.
London Buses London Buses manages bus services in London. It plans routes, specifies service levels and monitors service quality. Its site provides useful information on bus services in London.
London Overground Provides train services on the following routes:
  • Richmond/Clapham Junction to Stratford
  • Watford Junction to Euston
  • Gospel Oak to Barking
  • Highbury & Islington to West Croydon/Clapham Junction
  • Liverpool Street to Enfield Town, Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) and Chingford
  • Romford to Upminster
London River Services Oversees the provision of all river services and piers on the River Thames.
London Tram Croydon Tramlink provides tram services between Wimbledon, Croydon, Elmers End, Beckenham Junction and New Addington in South London.
London Underground Provides regular services throughout London and to parts of Hertfordshire and Essex.
Oystercard Oyster is a smartcard ticketing system designed to make journeys in and around London quicker and easier. Different versions are available including for season tickets and pay-as-you-go (providing discounted travel on ordinary fares).
London Tribunals

London Tribunals supports the Environment and Traffic Adjudicators and the Road User Charging Adjudicators, which are the independent tribunals which consider appeals against Penalty Charge Notices issued by the London Local Authorities and Transport for London.

Public Carriage Office Responsible for licensing of taxis and minicabs within Greater London.
Santander Cycles Santander Cycles is London's self-service, bike-sharing scheme for short journeys.
Taxicard Taxicard provides subsidised door-to-door transport for people who have serious mobility impairment and difficulty in using public transport. The London Taxicard Scheme is funded by the participating London boroughs and the Mayor of London.
TfL Rail
TfL operate Metro services between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. These services form part of Crossrail which opens fully in December 2019.
Transport for London Street Management Responsible for certain main roads, plus maintenance of traffic lights, within Greater London.
Victoria Coach Station Victoria Coach Station is London's main coach station and services run from it to most parts of the country.
